VERDUNThe battle of Verdun was a battle of the first world war who took place from February 21 till December 19, 1916 next to Verdun in the Northeast France. She opposed the french soldiers and the germany soldiers. This war did more 700 000 deaths in 10 months.
This war was very long and very devastating.
Today, we can visit the museum memorial of Verdun, the fort of Vaux, the fort of Douaumont, the citadel, the ossuary of Douaumont and the trenches of bayonets.
The city of Verdun is the capital of "dragées".
Verdun is a cultural city and has a historic patrimony.
